Bio

Hi all, as you can tell from the picture, I am Chinese. I was born in Malaysia. I came to the States 27 years ago for college.  I have been teaching piano for 20 years, including years of teaching music technology and music appreciation at Tarrant County College, as well as elementary music in Grand Prairie ISD. I graduated with a Master of Music Degree in Composition & Piano Pedagogy and Education Specialist. I am nationally certified as a teacher of Music in Piano (NCTM) by MTNA and Texas state certified in Music EC-12. I also earned my Master's Certification in Producing from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, and was a recipient of a Celebrity Scholarship from Bill Crosby. I am a member of the Arlington Music Teacher Association and a CWWW published composer. Within nine years of serving as a part-time music minister and contemporary worship leader at Advent Lutheran Church, I wrote numerous compositions for the church choir, orchestra, band, instruments, musicals, and documentaries. In addition to teaching piano at my home studio, I am a doctoral candidate at Boise State University and a former corporate instructional designer. . I am married with two children, 14 and 11.
